Used as architectural upgrades and or to increase the performance of a new roof. Valleys add a customized look to any dormer or flashing area and come in all shapes and sizes. Copper valley gutters will last for many years as long as they are installed in the correct way. Problems will usually surface if the lead used is too thin or the lead valley has insufficient steps or expansion joints. If the valley gutter has not been installed properly, splits will start to appear with age, leading to water ingress, which can be recitified in one of two ways. The tiles can be stripped of all existing lead, then relined with new lead of the correct ‘CODE’, making sure the correct expansion joints are used. Alternatively, the bottom rows of tiles can be stripped and relined using a Single Ply System I.E ‘Sarnafil’. Single Ply Systems do not need steps or expansion joints
